Samsung filters are designed to work with your refrigerator to avoid the risk of flooding while giving you clean, filtered water. Use our Authentication Tag to make sure your filter is a genuine Samsung filter. Detach the Authentication Tag from the filter. Place the Tag over the back of the provided magnet. Green stripes will appear if it’s an authentic Samsung water filter.

Contaminants Reduction
Samsung water filters, using only high grade carbon blocks, remove over 99% of potentially harmful contaminants which may be present in your water such as:
-Chlorine Taste & Odour. Chlorine is widely used in water treatment as a disinfectant but may infer particular odors and tastes to water. -Heavy Metals & Chemicals. Lead, asbestos, benzene, mercury and carbofuran are common industrial contaminants with high toxicity which can infiltrate water sources. -Microbial Cysts. Parasites such as cyrptosporidium are commonly found in lakes and rivers. They have a high resistance to disinfectants such as chlorine.
Filter Light Indicator
Refer to your refrigerator digital panel for the filter light indicator. When it is time to replace the filter, the light will turn red. You may also place a month sticker (included inside every cartridge package) on the filter cartridge as a reminder.
